Supply Net for Pumpsets
The main objective of the project ‘Supply Net for Pumpsets’ is to develop a new distribution concept for an international producer of pumps. This will be conducted exemplary for pumpsets which consists of a pump and six components. The company has been organized in business units. A worldwide network of sales&service-organizations is responsible for the needs of the customers. This project will give answers to the questions on which location it is necessary to provide stock and assembly capacities in order to achieve a high delivery reliability and a lower inventory level. In order to get transparency throughout the material flow network, one of the first project steps of the SuN-project is to model the entire supply net for pumpsets, involving all aspects of procurement, transport, stock and assembly.
