Sensor Systems for Autonomously Controlled Storage Management

Subject of this tranfer project in the field of the CRC 637 is the development an application of a control method for an autonomously controlled storage management of finished vehicles as well as the conceptual design and implementation of a hard- and software prototype. In the context of the research work of the subproject A1, several application potentials of autonomous control in the field of storage management of finished vehicles could be verified considering as example the logistic order processing of a typical automobile terminal of the logistic service provider E.H.Harms Automobile-Logistics. Within this transfer project, the investigated approach of a rule-based, autonomously controlled storage management in automobile logistics shall be enhanced an implemented using available information and communication technologies and sensor systems in the form of a hard- and software prototype.
