Projekt:
Process management for products and carriers using transponder technologies
This project aims to improve logistic processes at different steps of the automotive industry’s value chain of both OEMs as well as 1st tier suppliers by exploiting the potentials of the RFID technology. An RFID infrastructure will be created for automatic identification and data compilation of supply parts during manufacturing, shipping, stock receipt, buffering and assembly as well as their carriers and loading equipment. These logistic objects are modelled and implemented within an agent-based software system, which will process the data compiled by the RFID systems components in order to improve process control. To exploit the potentials of technology existing process flows will be analysed and adapted. The results will be validated by simulation studies. Following these detailed process simulation studies, the solution will be implemented as a demonstrator.
